South Valley Civic Theatre (SVCT) offers a variety of productions to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to explore their talents – children, teens, and adults, singers and dancers, comedic and dramatic actors.

For you, the advertiser, the shows draw varying audiences allowing for both demographic focus and/or “broad-brush” type advertising.

Like with all advertising, the more consistently our patrons see you, the more likely they are to seek you out when they need a product or service that you offer. With SVCT, you have five shows during which you can promote your business – choose one, a combination, or all five.

Unlike other advertising that is strictly “self-serving,” promoting your business through South Valley Civic Theatre also tells the community that you and your business support the arts, specifically theater arts, in both Morgan Hill and Gilroy.

Rates for advertising in our programs

Each of our five shows for the season typically runs for 10 performances. Tickets sales for shows vary; there are 186 seats in the theater. Assuming an extremely conservative estimate of 100-120 ticket sales per performance, your ad in the program for a single show will reach between 1000 and 1200 patrons over the run of the show.

Sponsorship Opportunities

$1,200 per show

A sponsor’s logo is placed on all posters, direct mail, and program covers.

This type of advertising is more “institutional” in nature, promoting the sponsor as a supporter of community theater. It has the greatest reach of all advertising opportunities as it reaches all SVCT subscribers – approximately 2000 – in addition to the patrons who see the show.

The 2016-2017 Season

Children’s Musical – “Little Mermaid Jr.”

Based upon Disney’s classic, this musical
extravaganza will be performed by local children – family entertainment for all ages with the audience expected to be composed of children and parent and grandparent-aged, family-focussed adults.

Holiday Musical – “1940’s Radio Hour”

An award winning musical taking place in the by-gone
era of war-time America featuring such favorites as “Strike up the Band” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle
Boy”. expected to draw a broad spectrum of adult audiences.

Teen Musical – “Footloose”

The cast will be composed of youth, aged 13 to 18, and will draw
teenagers and parent- and grandparent-aged, family-focused adults.

Adult Comedy – “Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike”

Winner of the 2013 Tony award for Best Play, middle-aged siblings work through resentments accumulated over a lifetime, complete with a sarcastic maid, boy-toy beau, and aspiring actress, this production is expected to draw a broad spectrum of adult audiences.

Large Family Musical – “Willy Wonka”

A timeless and enduring classic, this show is anticipated to appeal to children and adults of all ages.
