2022-2023 Season at Limelight

Limelight provides a unique theater experience for our audiences. We present a variety of quality shows in an intimate cabaret-style space. New for the 2021-2022 season, our “thrust stage” layout brings the audience even closer to the action, with seating just two tables deep, on three sides of the stage. We also are proud of our state of the art lighting system, thanks to a generous 2020 grant from the Gilroy Foundation.

Our “Bring Your Own Dinner & Wine” (or have it catered) offer encourages friends and to-be-friends to mingle and enjoy the ambience and camaraderie of the environment. And, new with the 2021-2022 season, we are offering an expanded selection of beers, wines and cocktails to enjoy with dinner or during the performance. All performances are at the Gilroy Center for the Arts, 7341 Monterey Road, at the corner of 7th and Monterey Streets, in downtown Gilroy. To accommodate eating or drinking before the show, our box office opens 1 1/4 hours before curtain.

Covid-19 Statement

At Limelight, an intimate performance venue, SVCT is taking precautions against Covid-19. We take the health of our cast, staff, and patrons very seriously. All involved must remain healthy for the show to go on. Thank you for your consideration!

SVCT requires all audience members (as well as cast and staff) to be fully vaccinated. An individual is considered to be “fully vaccinated” at least two weeks after receiving a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna Covid-19 vaccine or two weeks after receiving a single dose of Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine.

We will ask everyone for proof of vaccination. Accepted documentation includes:

  • your CDC vaccination card or a legible color copy of that card
  • a fully legible photo of your CDC vaccination card on your phone
  • the QR code of your personal digital COVID-19 record from the state, on your phone (myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov)

Masking Requirements: In addition, Limelight is a public indoor space with patrons in close proximity to each other and to our actors on stage. Although masking is not required, we strongly recommend and encourage you to wear a mask when you are not eating or drinking at your table.

Your Hosts

Robin is thrilled to carry on the tradition of quality dinner theater entertainment that Kevin Heath and Alan Obata established and provided for 9 years. Robin is a seasoned theater producer for South Valley Civic Theatre (SVCT), has served on SVCT’s Board of Directors, and has participated in dozens of productions (working with costumes, props, set design, house management and more ) throughout the years. Her focus for Limelight is to continue to provide a relaxed atmosphere and entertaining shows for both the ever-faithful patrons and new audiences. By day Robin is an award winning South County Realtor with RE/MAX in Morgan Hill. Her hope is that Limelight will continue to delight patrons for many more years to come.
