Monty Navarro, a distant heir to a family fortune, sets out to speed up the line of succession by using a great deal of charm… and a dash of murder.  Can he knock off eight unsuspecting relatives without being caught and become the ninth Earl of Highhurst? And what of love? Because murder isn’t the only thing on Monty’s mind. A murderous romp filled with unforgettable music  and non-stop laughs, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder was the winner of four 2014 Tony awards, including Best Musical.

Rehearsals and Performances

  • Rehearsals begin with an orientation and table read on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Rehearsals will be Sundays 6-9 pm and Mondays-Thursdays, 7-10 pm. at the SVCT’s warehouse (16842 Joleen Way #G2, Morgan Hill, CA), moving to the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse March 23, 2024.
  • Evening Performances: April 26, April 27, May 11, May 17, May 18
  • Matinee Performances:  April 28. May 4, May 5, May 11, May 12 at 2:00 pm

Scheduling and Preparing for Your Audition

  • CLICK HERE for a complete audition packet. Please complete the packet, including complete and accurate conflicts. Please email the completed packet with your head shot to gentleman@svct.org. If you are unable to send the packet in advance, ensure it is completed and bring it to your audition along with a head shot (3″x4″ max).
  • CLICK HERE to reserve an audition date and time. Contact gentleman@svct.org if you need help in making alternate audition arrangements.
  • Please prepare 32-48 bars of a song that showcases your vocal range and acting ability. An accompanist will be provided. Alternatively, you may bring pre-recorded music. Your song should be in the style of the show, with sheet music, and in the correct key..
  • No monologue is needed but actors may be asked to read from our script.
  • Our choreographer will teach a short dance routine, so actors should wear clothes they can easily move in and comfortable, laced shoes or jazz dance shoes.
