Have you ever been tempted to flee your own life? Becky Foster is caught in middle age, middle management, and a happy but middling marriage—with no prospects for change on the horizon. Then one night Walter Flood, a socially inept and grief-stricken millionaire, stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works. Walter mistakes Becky for a fellow widow, and Becky makes the choice not to correct him. This moment of choice propels Becky on a journey that sends her spiraling towards an inevitable crossroads in her life. Becky’s New Car is a thoroughly original comedy with serious overtones; it is a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken, and the audience gets the chance to ride shotgun in an interactive way that most plays would not dare.

Rehearsals and Performances
Rehearsals will be held at the Gilroy Center for the Arts (7341 Monterey Rd, Gilroy, CA) and occasionally at the SVCT Warehouse (16842 Joleen Way #G2, Morgan Hill, CA)
- Regular rehearsals are scheduled Mon-Thurs and will run either 6:30-9:30 pm or 7-10 pm (the availability of the actors selected will determine the final schedule.)
- Run Throughs: Starting May 10th, rehearsals will run 6:30-10 pm (to accommodate full run-throughs of the show).
- Tech: May 19 (6-10pm), May 20 (2-10pm), May 21 (6-9pm)
- Dress: May 22-25 (6:30-10:30 pm)
- Evening Performances: May 26, 27, and June 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17 at 8:00 pm.
- Matinee Performances: June 4, June 11, and June 18 at 2:00 pm.

Audition Preparation
- Review the audition packet for all the details, including key rehearsal dates and a character list.

- Bring a headshot and a list of all potential conflicts to your audition.
- A prepared monologue is encouraged but not required. Sides will be provided, and can be found in the audition packet.
