We welcome ages 8 to 89 to audition!

Audition Dates

  • Friday, March 17, beginning at 5:30 pm
  • Saturday, March 18, beginning at 12:00 noon
  • Sunday, Marcy 19, beginning at 11:30 am
  • Callbacks will be March 25, 10:30 am – 3 pm, by appointment only

Rehearsals and Performances

  • Rehearsals begin with a cast meeting Sunday, April 30 and will be held Sundays 6-9 pm and Monday through Thursday, 7-10 pm at SVCT’s warehouse
  • Performances will be at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse
    • Preview at 7 pm on Thursday, June 22.
    • Evening Performances: June 23, 24, 30 and July 1, 7, 8, 14, and 15 at 8 pm.
    • Possible additional Thursday performance at 7 pm on June 29..
    • Matinee Performances: June 25, July 2, and July 9.

Scheduling Your Audition

.

  • Auditions will be held at the SVCT Warehouse, 16840 Joleen Way, Bldg G2, Morgan Hill, CA
    • Friday March 17 beginning at 5:30 pm
    • Saturday, March 18 beginning at12:00 noon
    • Sunday, March 19 beginning at 11:30 am
  • Please choose and reserve your audition slot through Signup Genius.  You must stay for the full 90-minute slot (or until dismissed) or your audition will not be complete.
  • If you are unable to attend any of the scheduled audition times, contact matilda@svct.org.
  • Callbacks (by invitation) will be held Saturday March 25 beginning at 10:30 am

Preparing For Your Audition

2) Click here for an audition packet. Please read it thoroughly and bring the completed, signed packet with you to your audition.

VERY IMPORTANT: Specific monologues and song clips from the show are provided here.  Select one monologue and one song clip from those provided.  You may prepare an additional selection if you wish, in case we want to hear more from you.  Do not bring a different track or sheet music for your song. Do not prepare any monologue or song that is not provided here.

Download your desired song folder. Each folder contains sheet music marked to show the clip you should prepare, and two audio files.  One audio file is the clip from the Broadway cast recording for your reference (and help on the British accent), and the other is an instrumental-only clip that will be used as your backing track at auditions.

5) You will also be taught a short dance routine by our choreographer.  Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for the dance portion of the audition.

SVCT is committed to preserving the safety of our staff, cast, crew and audience members, guided by CDC and Santa Clara County guidelines and current conditions. To protect each other, we strongly recommend that all cast and staff be fully vaccinated and boosted. Masks WILL be required during auditions and may be required during rehearsals.
